Get Involved with Hearty Squirrel
There are lots of ways you can get involved with Hearty Squirrel!
Volunteering on the stalls
You can help out on the stalls in Central area. This involves selling wholefoods and fresh produce, sorting stock and deliveries, sorting the veg bags- either in our shop in the basement of George Square Lecture Theatre . You can volunteer for an hour or two, learn about how the co-op works, meet other volunteers, and you'll be helping with a vital part of the co-op's operation.
To sign up to volunteer, contact us to join the mailing list and then put your name down on the volunteering doodle polls that are sent out weekly.
Become a member
Join the food co-op as a member to be able to place your orders for bulk wholefoods from Greencity Wholefoods. Become a member of Hearty Squirrel by paying for a membership on the EUSA website for £3.00 and send us an email after you have done this to gain access to the Greencity catalogue and join the Hearty Squirrel mailing list.
Organising the co-op
You can help by getting involved in the organising of the food co-op. We hold weekly meetings every Monday at 7 pm, Room 1 in the The University of Edinburgh Chaplaincy to share big and small ideas for Hearty Squirrel, and to organise the running of the co-op for the next weeks.
Whether you're interested in designing some publicity, organising an event, or helping with the accounts or anything else, you should come along to a meeting to find out more and get involved! Contact us to find out where the next meeting is.
If you want to get in contact send us your details through this form or email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
